Before You Join or Rent a Plot

Before completing your garden application or submitting payment, please review the TC Community Garden membership and plot agreements.

These agreements explain what it means to be a member, how garden plots are used, and how we all help keep the garden welcoming, organized, and cared for throughout the season.

TC Community Garden is a volunteer-run nonprofit. Membership fees and plot rental fees help support the garden by providing shared tools, compost, maintenance, and other resources for gardeners.

To join TC Community Garden as a general member or to rent a garden plot, you must read and agree to the required agreements for the current garden season.

What You Agree To

By joining TC Community Garden or renting a garden plot, you agree to follow a few basic guidelines that help keep the garden healthy, organized, and welcoming for everyone.

  • You will use your garden plot for personal, non-commercial gardening.
  • You will garden organically and follow TC Community Garden guidelines.
  • You will keep your plot planted, cared for, and reasonably neat during the growing season.
  • You will remove trash, clutter, dead plants, decorations, tools, and other materials by October 31.
  • You will not install permanent structures or fixtures in or around your plot.
  • You will pay all membership and plot rental fees before gardening.
  • You understand that everyone who regularly gardens in your plot must be a TC Community Garden member.
  • You will participate in Worker Bees or help maintain shared garden areas when asked.
  • You understand that the garden is shared space and that items left there are left at your own risk.
  • You will contact TC Community Garden if you can no longer care for your plot.
  • You understand that membership and plot use may be revoked if garden guidelines are not followed.

Please Note: Renting 2 plots is restricted to members that are currently renting 2 plots.
